Looking for the best spots to dance salsa in Paris?
Paris, city of love, fashion, great food and… a paradise for dance lovers, especially Cuban salsa fans!
You can dance salsa almost every night in Paris. This Latin dance has won the hearts of many Parisians and tourists, thanks to its great atmosphere, friendliness and music.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced, the French capital offers a multitude of places where you can practise and dance.
Most parties offer at least salsa, sometimes alternating with bachata or with a separate bachata room.
One or two dance classes, with an indication of the level required, are often given before the party itself, which is great for learning a few basics (like a trial class), basic steps and moves, solo or with a partner. The Cuban salsa classes are generally beginner and/or beginner-intermediate level. Ideal for beginners!
For Puerto Rican salsa (or salsa on line), L’Agua (23, quai Anatole France – 75017 Paris) is ideal for 100% on line salsa, every Tuesday night in a great festive atmosphere!
Here is an evolving list of the best spots to dance salsa and casino in Paris, in addition to the eternal “alvéoles” at quai Saint-Bernard, where you can dance salsa on the banks of the Seine.

The Callesol Cuban salsa party (named after the dance school) is a TOP monthly party!
It’s one of our favourite nights.
Next dates in 2024, always on a Friday night: 23/02, 29/03, 26/04, 31/05. Between €12 and €16.
Book the Callesol salsa party here.
With a capacity of 300 people, this concert hall offers a great space, high ceilings, an IDEAL floor for dancing, a good atmosphere, soft drinks (cordial, water…) and unlimited sweets.
7- BNF (Bibliothèque Nationale de France) – Paris 13
📍 47, quai François Mauriac – Paris 13
🚆 Métro Quai de la Gare (6) or Bibliothèque François Mitterrand (14)
Saturdays, free.
On the esplanade you can dance Cuban salsa, bachata, Puerto Rican salsa and kizomba, in the open air!
We prefer the BNF to the banks of the Seine. If you want to dance on the quays, we recommend the esplanade rather than the alvéoles, where the floor is uneven and the atmosphere less good.
Open-air salsa on Saturday evenings (when the weather is nice).
“Open air” means acceptable temperatures, so this place fills up with DJs and dancers when the weather is good. Keep an eye on it, because dancing outdoors is really enjoyable. Toilets available in the cinema nearby.
8- Cabaret Sauvage – Paris 19
📍 59, bd Macdonald – Paris 19
🚆 Métro Porte de la Villette (7)
An iconic venue shaped like a circus big top, with a pleasant outdoor area open in summer, located in the Parc de la Villette.
There are Latin nights (not necessarily salsa), with salsa nights programmed from time to time. So check the programme.
We recommend booking early, as prices go up depending on availability and arrival time slots.
9- La Habanera (studio des Rigoles) – Paris 20
📍 46, rue des Rigoles – Paris 20
🚆 Métro Jourdain (11).
Monthly party on Saturdays, classes from 8:30pm to 10:15pm + party from 10pm to 2:45am.
A really nice venue in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, sometimes with colour themes.
Music often includes salsa, timba and son.
10- Le Factory Club – Thiais 94
📍 3, rue des Alouettes – Thiais (94) Val de Marne
Located between Stock Omani and Buffalo Grill, this venue – admittedly not in Paris itself but in the southern suburbs – is well known to dancers.
SBK nights on Fridays and Saturdays (check the programme).
Several rooms for different SBK dances and West Coast Swing, with classes.
Salsa on the banks of the Seine: open-air dancing in summer – Paris 5
📍 Quai Saint-Bernard, jardin Tino Rossi – Paris 5
🚆 Métro Jussieu (7, 10) or Gare d’Austerlitz (5, 10, RER C).
This is THE meeting place for Paris dancers as soon as the weather turns nice: from June to the end of August, the banks of the Seine become a giant, free dance floor. The heart of the action is at quai Saint-Bernard, in the jardin Tino Rossi, opposite the Institut du monde arabe. Its small stone amphitheatres, called “alvéoles”, each host a style: Cuban salsa, Puerto Rican salsa, bachata, rock…
A typical week in summer 2026, according to Olivier’s salsa list:
- Thursday: Bailamos Salsa, 7pm to 11pm, Cuban salsa with bachata and kompa breaks.
- Friday: Paris Open Air Dominicano, alvéole 3, 7pm to 11pm, 100% Dominican bachata. Rock, West Coast Swing and cha-cha fans also meet at Adrenalina on Fridays, 7pm to 11pm.
- Weekend: Puerto Rican salsa nights on the Jussieu esplanade side.
- Sunday: Bailamos Salsa, alvéole 2, 6pm to 11pm (Cuban salsa and bachata), and Kalinago Party, alvéole 3, 6pm to 11pm (Cuban salsa and Caribbean music with DJ Mas El Kalina).
Practical info:
- Price: free entry, sometimes a voluntary contribution “in the hat”.
- Tip: arrive from 7pm, some nights start with a taster class.
- Weather: parties are cancelled if it rains.
- Level: all levels, friendly atmosphere.
The programme changes every summer and the parties are announced as they come on Olivier’s salsa list: it’s the go-to reference for where to dance tonight. In the 13th, the BNF terrace (quai François Mauriac) also hosts open-air parties (see above).
